Here are some pictures of Jeff's 6X47 Lapua. Talk about impressive.. I will let him fill you in on the details, but here are the pictures to take a gander at.

Had a chance to work a load up in the 6x47 lapua.
41.5 g VV N160 " had four pounds laying around and tried it, it works."
berger 105 hybrid .010 off
fgm 205 primer
3145 fps
accuracy= ridiculous
I have 200 rounds through this so far and am more than happy with it, I can only imagine i will like it better when the tax stamp for the can shows up in sept-oct.
coyote season should be interesting this year.

Serious guns for serious work :wink:

As far as the 6x47Lapuagoes, I am impressed of its ballistics. It´s a very efficient cartridge compared to .243 Win.

Couple of things made me decide on the 6x47, 1 I have had a 6.5x47 and a 22x47, it doesnt seem to matter what cailber you choose the 47 shoots extremely well. 2 this case is a bit shorter than a .243 so it leaves tons of room in the magazine for the longer bullets. 3 you can run the 6x47 in the neighborhood of .243 velocity. 5.5 mils to a thousand, 1000 ft lbs of energy at 840, minor recoil and a .547 bc. pretty tough to beat. Will be shooting this in the jordan match in september, giving the AIAW a break.
