I finally got my LR 308 build completed. It turned out pretty sweet.

Competition machine RTS Chassis and bipod
Peirce Tubegun action with Bartlien #9 1-11.25” twist throated for 175gr MK
Jewel trigger, Nightforce 5.5-22x56 w/zero stop MOAR reticle

Cerakote in skull camo, sniper gray and satin black by Precision Cerakote.

That certainly ought to shoot well...

What's the barrel length?

BTW - I have found no difference in seating depth or charge weight required when switching from Sierra Matchkings to Nosler Competition bullets of the same weight - and no difference in accuracy either.

Pretty serious looking rifle - thanks for sharing the photos!

Very cool rifle!! Time to stretch its legs! Good choice on throating as well, you might look at the Berger Hybrids to toy with, or maybe even the 178gr Hornady ELD bullet.

I like your choice of barrel length.

My Green Machine has always had a 24" barrel, and I had a Model 70 target rifle in .308 Win, with a 30" Krieger. The .308 Win is a very efficient cartridge, and does well with short barrels, but a bit of barrel length can certainly help generate a bit of "free" velocity.

I figured the extra barrel wouldn't hurt anything. It's not like I am trying to save on weight!

That rifle looks to be all business, I am looking forward to the range report with more photos I hope!!
Congratulations on another project completed.
