Well, they let us out of The Gunnery Sergeants Advanced Course for a few hours today in order to go and observe the Modern Marine Expo today on Quantico. There is just about any vendor you can think of that has to do with the USMC. I mean, just about anything. Leupold, Zeiss, Sako, Blaser, Remington, International, Mack, Camelback, ETC. It is ginormous. It was 5 gigantic tents full of sweet gear!. Anyhow, here are some pictures. Didn't take a ton of them, but I did get a few.

We also got to meet R. Lee Ermey, get a picture signed by him and also talk with him for a bit. Pretty nice guy.

First glimpse of him

A new bumper sticker I scored as well from LaRue

Anyhow, it was a great time. Might stop through again tomorrow, just to see if I can put my eyes on anything else that is cool and take my time walking through the tents. I was kinda in a hurry, so I really hustled. I would like to have a little more time to look some more gear over. Scotty

Thanks for posting the picture Scotty. Like the new AICS stock, and yeah your picture with Lee.

If you're picking up stuff for people, can you grab me one of those S&Bs? :)

Cool stuff, man. I always figured Gunny Ermey was a pretty nice guy, I bet even more so if you are part of the Gunnery Sgt. fraternity. Great pics!

Very nice, thanks for sharing the pictures. Nice coin too, I'm a big Glock fan, and no I'm not asking for anything.

Dang... Haircut, shave and a full USMC uniform...

Yeah, it was something to have to FIND my uniforms, get them tailored and learn how to put ribbons and stuff like that on them again too! I haven't worn a uniform up to this point for about three years. I am looking forward to getting back to work though. Spending so much time in a classroom wears me out more than full out work does.

It was a good time at the expo. Lots of cool equipment and great to see some of the gear they are making up for the DOD.

Brian, no luck with the Blaser. Maybe next year. Scotty

So much for a dealer sample Blaser Tactical or Sako TRG. Guess we will stick with the Savage 10 338 Lapua.

I'm in! The more I look at it, the more I think it is the best idea on how to get into the game. Heck it would be pretty reasonable to do the whole set up and still have a nicely packable rifle. Scotty

Do it! I'm interested in one, but I've read a few reports of the Savage .338s not shooting super well. I want you guys to be the guinea pigs!
