I think I have found the bullet and load for my Rem. 700 27 3/4" #5 1 in 8 twist Shilen barreled 264 Win mag.
64.0 grs H-4831, CCI 250, WW case (reformed from 7mm Rem. mag), 130 Nolser AccuBond, OAL 3.340, average 3480 fps. 3 shots @ 100 1/2" outside to outside.
This rifle will shoot pretty well with almost anything you put in it as long as it is really moving.
It shoots 120 Nosler ballistic tips great BUT, they are going 3600 fps which is way too fast to try to use on deer where you do get shots inside 300 yards. Which at that muzzle velocity the bullet would not slow down to the max velocity 3100 fps that bullet is designed to operate at until it got out to around 300 yards.
This rifle really liked 67.5 grs Retumbo and the 130 accubonds for average 3490 fps but I got pressure signs of it leaving ejector marks on the case rim. The temp was about 85* today though. I may try this load again when it cools down.
