First and foremost I must appologize for the poor image quality. These are only another reason and examples as to why I should invest in a new digital camera

That said, here she is as she currently stands.

- Surgeon 591 action in .308
- AICS AX in FDE (much, much nicer in person - pictures do NOT do this FDE color justice)
- Kreiger 23" heavy varmint fluted barrel
- Jewell trigger

Bare bone as you see it she's pretty light @ 10.2lbs

Next up...to install the brake, rings, scope, Atlas bipod when it comes in.

Fun project :)

Cheers all,
Ben

Ben,

Very cool.
She looks like she will be a shooter.
What load(s) do you plan to run through her?

Very nice. There are more than a few fellows who will really enjoy seeing this.

Awesome rifle there Ben. Feed her with a steady diet of 155 Scenar and Varget and she'll be just fine.

Thanks guys

Not set in stone as to which loads will be going into yet. There will be quite a bit of trial and error in the future as I am quite green when it comes to reloading. I can say that it shot factory match ammo quite well, like Nosler's and Honardy (168gr as well, didn't try their 178gr), so that is somewhat of a starting point - but there is so much info on reloads for .308 that I'm confident that I'll find something for it once I get to that.

I was going to buy another NF scope as I really like them - built like tanks, super clear glass, tracks flawlessly, turrets are solid, no complaints at all. Then I tried the Vortex PST in 6-24x50 FFP...and for just a few bucks less than a $1,000 (compared to $1,950+ for an NF) I'd be down right stupid not to get one.

The Atlas bipod has been on order for a little bit, but should be at my dealer sometime next week and I guess with me the following week.

Not sure when I'll be getting the Vortex (gotta find one) and I got my hands a blackrifle that I think some of you may like 8) Details to come when it arrives..one of those "can't pass on it' deal..and who doens't like to plink away at zombies with a .223!

Cheers
Ben
