My Thoughts

The federal government shutdown has caused a few different strategies to have to take place in this household.
Since Monday is a federal holiday I will make my telephone calls on Tuesday. I will no longer be paying on an upside down mortgage due to the government shutdown! If that causes me to lose the house, I don't care. If that causes me to lose my job, I don't care.
I was looking for a job when I found my current job. I see a lot of good people drowned in a sea of bureaucracy, ineptness, and stupidity. I, and society, trusted our elected representatives to represent us and pass laws that benefit the common man or woman. Instead they have created a special class of person, the political class, where power, corruption, and dynasties abound.
I will stand and support the Constitution. It's time to take our country back. Vote, call, write letters, and let your neighbors know! Our elected representatives should be representing us, the American citizen. Most of us don't support the ACA and if it's so good why in the hell are the politicians exempt from it.

I'm definitely sympathetic, Vince. I cannot believe how rapidly the US descended into this present chaos.

Back at work, with pay, mortgage paid, and wishing this nation would forsake it's socialistic ways and get back to being a republic.

As usual the politicians kicked the can down the road again. All that will do is create a worse crisis later. Small problems become big problems when you avert them and don't deal with them right now. I don't like where we are headed and I don't think the end of the story is going to be very pretty. I would rather suffer a little hardship now in order that future generations don't have to. Instead we are forcing future generations to bear the brunt of our foolishness. That is not right!
