A friend wants me to load some 180 Accubonds in his .30-06. Last year I worked up a load using 180 gr. Failsafes that was .75" @ 100 yds. He'd like to try the Accubonds because of better BC. So anybody got some good loads for it?

I would work around the same load you used for the failsafes. Up and down 0.5gr and play with seating depth.Rick.

On the subject of seating depth, anyone know where these bullets like to be? I like the failsafe's because shape allows you to seat close to lands and still fit mag.

61 grains of Reloder 22 under a 180 AB gives me sub-moa groups in my '06 as well as turning in 2800+ fps MV out of a 22" barrel.

60-61 gr of Reloder 22 . Right at 2750-2800 fps. I have never ever ever had a 30-06 NOT shoot this load!

Are there any loads for a 180 grain AccuBond in a .308 Win using RL 22? Also Has anyone had experience with accuracy using this combination Federal primers compared to SMK?

RL 22 is way too slow for the 308 Win. Try IMR-4350 and faster powders. Even the 4350 will be compressed.

I find Reloder 15 to be a top performer in the .308 Winchester. 8)

2 other powders I have had good luck with in loading for the 308 are IMR4064 and Winchester 748

Thats for my 30-06 POP.
I have never tried but I don't think I could get 57.5gr H4350 in a 308 brass.RB

My pet load in my 30-06 is 57.0gr H4831. It is a 30 year old Remington with a 22" barrel that shoots sub-moa all day long with that load.
