Just picked this up on my way out to Montana. Here are a few details:
Defiance Rebel action with their bottom metal and intregal base
Brux HV fluted 8 twist barrel finished at 27 inches
Manners T2A stock painted dark earth with a black splatter and clear coated
Jewell trigger set at 1 lb
NF 5.5-22X50 scope with Ken Farrell rings

USMC89 and I shot it today out to 1040 yards and got the scope dialed in. I have 47 rounds fire formed now and can start testing seating depths and powder charges. I think this one will be a shooter  .

The gunsmith cut a case head off, drilled out the bolt handle and installed it in the bolt handle

I will be heading out for the mountains tomorrow morning to chase the mighty elk. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Wow! That looks like all busines...long distance busines :) . Very Cool. Good luck with the ELK. Have fun, be safe. CL

Manners copy of the A5 is the T4. This is close to the A3 version by McMillian.

Damn, the only thing about that I might change is a stock and metalwork with some purple!

That is really nice Joel. I would like to see how she shoot and I want to know your take on the Brux.

Joel, I will be taking this to Potomac to shoot a match with it hope you don't mind! Ha! I really like it, well thought out and great components. I am going to get an atlas bi-pod for the mcree stock for sure, they are twice the bi-pod the Harris is! I will mess around with some loads before you get back. I think the defiance is right there with my bat in terms of quality! I am thinking a 22x47 will be along shortly after the display this afternoon???

Dang, that turned out awesome! I love the case head in the bolt handle. That's a nice touch! Looking forward to seeing some range reports from it.

Yup!
Someday I'm gonna climb that mountain. Congrats!

Or rechamber the rifle to another cartridge!

Joel that is a very good looking rifle and the components are top of the line :)
I am quite sure that she will reach out an touch something at very long ranges

The gunsmith takes the anvil out of the primer so it has a nice finished look to it. Stopping by USMC89's place tomorrow to pick it up and head back to Minnesota after a succesful elk hunt. Will start doing some serious load work after deer hunting is over. Indications are that it will shoot.

Jeff is right about the Atlas bipods. They are spendy compared to a Harris, but are much better made and rock solid. I used a Harris this past week while elk hunting on my 6.5 WSM and you can really feel the difference when the Atlas bipod is mounted on a rail system of the stock.

Joel,

That is a beauty for sure.
Congratulations buddy.
