I have my recoil lug and pin/dowel, so now the fun begins! It might look crazy, but all in all it's a 264wm! Savage 110 w/ McGowen 32" 7.5T. Hoping to get the 150smk's going 3,300 or more. I need shorter action screws, then I'll be gtg.

Got 140gr Hybrids, VLD, and Elite Hunters to try. Tomorrow is testing VLDs with Retumbo.

I'm fortunate enough to have 33, 570, retumbo, 1000, magnum and lrt. Prelim #'s are best with 570, lrt and retumbo in that order for the 150smk. It's a litter faster twist than needed for lapua 144fmj, but possibly around 3,400fps with 570? Barnes 145 around 3,350-3,380. I'll be starting from scratch and development will be eating up primers and powder. 70-80grs a whack per starts to add up or more so take away. Before I throat it, I'll stick with best depth for all 4 bullets and hope for the best. I could go with a larger cased 26cal, but decided to go with longer barrel for more velocity instead. Anyone have any suggestions on a good place to start? This is way beyond my realm, especially from 0 start?
