Will Nosler ever bring this back?! From what I have read, it seemed like it was one hell of a formidable bullet in the 45-70.

If they bring back a Partition bullet for the 45-70 it should be a 400gr bullet. Give us a 400grainer and we'll by a gagillion of them.

I sure hope so. That bullet is simply amazing.

YUP ! Agreeded a 400 Gr Partition would be a GREAT bullet for the 45-70 Gov and the 450 Marlin ! I still have a NEW box of 300 Parts !

Cheers :) RJ

I happened to come across some Winchester 45-70 ammo with the 300 grain PT...

Save it for something special. Like when dinosaurs come back or something formidable like that! They are awesome. I'd take a 350 PT just to split the difference. They penetrate far!

I think I've still got some 300gr Partitions in inventory but I really prefer more bullet weight in a lead core 45-70 bullet. Not that the 300 NPT hasn't already proven itself but the world of 45-70 begins at 400grs.

Charley. Have you ever tried the Lyman #457122, the 330 gr. Gould hollowpoint bullet in the 45-70?
Great bullet in the 1895 Marlin I used to have and even better in my Ruger #1. A royal PITA to cast though.
