Has anyone used this bullet on game? I have 4 boxes of them and going to load up some in my Encore 35-06 JDJ. JD's load sheet list a max velocity of 2586 FPS .

Are you talking PT, AB or BT?

I've taken several WT deer and a black bear with the 225 gr PT out of a 35 Whelen.
It hits hard and puts them down fast. Only had 3-4 blood trails to follow, they were very heavy and short.

I have taken animals with all 3 of the 225 gr versions and they all worked well. The discontinued Ballistic Tip worked great but the AccuBond and Partition are even better.

I personally have only used 225gr. Accubonds and they have done a excellent job on a number of Elk and Moose.
I have done quite abit of reading on the use of the 225gr. and they all seem to have excellent results. I use RL-15 as my go to powder and have no trouble reaching 2700fps out of a 24" barrel.
Let us know how your development turns out (y).

Blessings,
Dan

Ballistic Tip

I took a moose, deer, stone sheep and probably a bear too, they worked fine even on the moose.

RL15 and 17 are your friend. Nothing much I wouldn't hunt with ANY 225 Nosler.
