I have heard that the Nosler custom brass is thicker than other brands, are there any special requirements when developing a new load with this brass? Thanks
thicker brass means less internal volume, assuming the exterior dimensions are the same as brass from any other manufacturer. This is generally confirmed by weighing the brass. The Nosler brass I've used (7mm Rem mag) weighed more than either Remington or Winchester but less than Federal. With less internal volume there will be an increase in pressure for a given powder charge. I'd say follow the standard precautions - work loads up slowly and watch for signs of high pressure.
