To NOSLER, and any others......In the Nosler 5th edition, under the 45-70 Gov't. listing. The introduction states the author was using a 1999 era USRA/ Winchester/ Miroku Model 1886 takedown( I have one too, and love it) on a hunt, using the 300 gr. PT, and dose of 4198 to get over 2300 fps. It also says that this data is for strong actions like the USRA 1886, 1885, and the C.Sharps 1874, the Shiloh Sharps, and the newer Marlin 1895's. Will this data be safe in a Pedersoli 1874 deluxe(imported by Traditions) recently manufactured? I have one of those too, and it is an awesome shooter.

Sorry we don't have any info on the Pedersoli rifles so it would be best to call Traditions.

Thanks a bunch for the information. That 1874 Sharps repro, by Pedersoli really likes the 405gr cowboy loads from PMC also. It seems the sights(the rear vernier) are calibrated closley to that cowboy/original load.
