Nosler SHOTS?

These bullets are made for the Austrailan market, they are popular with Kangaroo hunters.
I bought some from Shooters Pro Shop and loaded them in my 700 VLS 22-250. With 36.0 grs of Varget, I shot a 3 shot group that meauured .184" at 100 yds.

So would these be a small deer and large varmit bullet?

Varmit bullet.
For deer, use a game bullet.

I would not use them on deer size game unless you intend to head shoot them 
SHOTS were developed for the Australian Kangaroo culling industry. 50 and 55gn spitzer with a pure lead core - extremely violent on thin skinned game. ie: Kangaroos, which need to be head shot as an industry requirement.
