I recently came across a couple still sealed boxes of the long gone nosler solid base bullets. I've never shot them but have a good friend who talks highly of them and says they were better than the ballistic tips that replaced them. I am NOT selling these bullets, just wondered what you all think of them and what they would be worth in today's market. Just for comparison, the price tag on the box is $16.95- and they were purchased ata department store that was defunct before I was of enough to hunt.

The solid base is a fine bullet. Unopened boxes are still found from time-to-time. I suppose there might be a collector willing to pay a premium for these bullets. Otherwise, the value would likely be slightly less than the going price for a box of Ballistic Tips.

Those should be 100 round boxes. They were available a few years ago from the Pro Shop and I got enough to burn out several barrels. Think I still have some unopened boxes in 25 cal. As far as value??? I would not pay any more for them than any other cup/core bullet, not a bullet collector but a bullet shooter.Rick.

Am with Rick. Nosler made those solid base bullets again, sometime in the past "few" years. Last ten anyway. I bought some in 6mm & .30 cal. Quite a few actually, as I remembered them fondly from the 1980's, and the newer ones were good too. We've used them a few times on mule deer - and they still work just fine.

They don't have any special value to me, but they are a doggone good cup and core bullet and I'll eventually finish shooting up my supply. Someday.

Regards, Guy
