Partition is it!! Cool article.

As my dad always said if it ain't broke don't fix it. That is why I have used Nosler for most of my hunting life. :)

Good read.
The Nosler offerings are better now than ever before. With excellent accuracy and predictable on game performance, its the only bullet I have used for the last 30 years.

I've heard people say that Partitions are not accurate, but I once knew a .25-06 that would put five 120-grain Partitions in under half an inch. Not accurate, my donkey!

+1 Antelpoe_Sniper. Took a while to find the right load but when I did they shot great. Haven't changed the load one bit.

Longranger,

Thank you for your post. I had read the article previously. I have been using Nosler products since 1978. I have hunted and harvested many fine animals in California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, and Oregon.

I was a cop in San Diego for twenty five years. Retired in 1995 and moved to Bend, Oregon in 1997. Once I found the Shooters Pro Shop next to the Nosler factory I have been a loyal and constant customer.

At the urging of a friend I applied for a position in the Shooters Pro Shop. I have been working there since July 1st of this year. It has been an amazing experience that I would like to share with you.

Day one was July 1st and the plant was closed for inventory of the entire facility. All 100 employees were required to work and were responsible for their immediate areas.

The company provided a catered picnic lunch for all employees. During the meeting Bob Nosler, Pres., spoke to the entire employee group. He thanked everyone for their efforts and then went on to address "quality"
He acknowledge the great efforts to produce millions of bullets but stressed that good was not the threshold....only....perfect is acceptable. He cautioned everyone regardless of position that they would be gone if outstanding is not end product.

Day two the entire plant was closed for facility wide "clean-up". Everyone was there to clean-up their work area. Floors, closets, heating and air conditioning ducts, etc.,.....everything.

Day three for me started with an in depth tour of the entire facility. Tour was conducted by the Human Resource Director. I was absolutely awestruck by the production process, inspection and then more inspection.

The machinery is incredible and constantly monitored for precision. There are two machine in the rear of the plant still producing Partitions and these machine were used to produce bullets for World War II. The people operating all of the machines are hunters and shooters just like us.

A tour of the plant is available to anyone who wishes. If you are in our area give us a couple days notice and take the tour. We welcome it and you will walk out amazed.

What I am trying to express here is the absolute gratitute that I have, and we all should have for the vision of John A.Nosler and the institution he established. His idea and desire founded the industry that services all of us. Look around at all of the companies now in existance that all started copying his design or trying to improve on it. Only one man had the vision, insight and tenacity.

I see him everyday. He is 96 years old and comes through the Shop everyday. His hearing is poor and he shuffles a little, but the fire in the eyes is still there and he wants to make sure that every bullet works every time.

Jerry,

Thanks for the enchouragement. As I stated before, I measured the diameter, and weight, and the were all right on. I have never seen this with no other bullet. Also my barrel fouled very little, powder fouling is all I noticed. In the past a Partition was put to the test at the range and wasn't noticed until stumbling upon this site. Weight retention was there more than others and with great confidence will serve me, according to many folks here. A bear hunt is planned for next month, and with full confidence I know I'll get bear.

I will be in the field KNOWING that the Nosler Partition will not fail.

Jerry - that's an awesome description! Wow. Thanks for posting that.

I too have been using Noslers since the 1970's but likely haven't hunted as widely as you. Back then, I had a tough time getting really good accuracy from the Partition, but the terminal performance on game was always good.

In the past ten years or so, I've been truly surprised and impressed with the accuracy I've seen from the Partitions. It's got to be tough, making a dual core bullet shoot that well. Two cores to potentially cause problems... The Ballistic Tip and the AccuBond as well as the Nosler Competition bullets shoot even better.

Regards, Guy
