Does anyone have a pet load for .300 WIN Mag using 180 Nosler Partitions and RL-22?

Been using 4350 and 4831 here but want to give the RL-22 a try.

Dave,

Here ya go.....

300 Win Mag
180 gr BT, AB, PT
75.0 grs RL 22
GM 215M primer

This load has shot well under MOA in 3 different rifles for me and I know several others here have had the same accuracy.

Remember to start low and work up and let us know how this loads shoots for you.

JD338.......Got any idea on how fast the run? (Chrono reading)
I don't have a chrono here but am looking for something turning around 3100 FPS +/-

You should do an easy 3000 fps in a 24" tube but every rifle is different so your results may be different.

My 300 Win Mag likes 77.5grs of Reloader-22 with 180's @3100fps.As always start lower and work your way up.My rifle seems to shoot better with max loads in all the powders and bullet weights I've tried.

My favorite load is about the same. It shot very well in 3 different Rem 700s with 24" barrels
77gr of RL22 CCI 250 primer. 3046 FPS 3725 FPE

Another powder that will get your velocity up there is Reloader-17.I tried some with 180's in my 300 Win Mag and I got very good results in my load test.71.0grs gave me around 3100fps,but groups were not all that great.72.0grs gave me 3150fps and much tighter groups.Next time out to the range I loaded 72.5grs and got 1/2" groups @ a sizzling 3215fps!Now that's moving a 180gr bullet!

Pretty potent charge, TBH. How are the primer pockets holding up? Any pressure signs?

Not seeing any pressure signs and that's what scares me about it.That Reloader-17 is a different powder than what we are used to.It is made by the Swiss and they use a different process in the making of this powder that gives you higher velocities with lower pressures. You can load it very close to IMR-4350,but I would start out with at least 1gr less than what your loading with IMR-4350 and work your way up.
