QL request .223 heavy match Results

Looking to expand my powder options in these interesting times. Could someone help me out?

Interested in 75 gr Hor HPBT mag length 2.260 and 80 gr Nos HPBT seated long 2.360. Barrel 20" 1-8 twist, 223 Wylde. Fed 205 match primer, Lake city mil brass.

Particularly interested in where Viht N140, N135, Hodge BL-C2, 4895 and IMR 4064, 4320 land on the curve. Those all seem to be available while Varget and R15 are made from unobtainium.
 
Didn't have the Wylde chamber in QL so I ran a 223 w a 20"

Thanks for the run. Looks like BL-C2 and 4320 should be strong contenders as well as a couple I hadn't considered. Interesting H380 popped in there. Hmmmmm, I sure like the way it meters!
 
Ran a quick test of 4064 and BL-C2 to see if they have potential. Fired a 5 round group baseline with my tested load of 24 gr Varget at 2.260, Hor 75 BTHP, LC mixed brass. Group 1.14" CTC.

Fired 10 round group BL-C2 24gr, all other components same. Group 1.21"

Fired 10 round group IMR 4064, other same. Group 1.24"

No discernible change in POI or vertical stringing. Rifle RRA NM A4 with NM hooded rear sight. Fired on rickety cobbled together sandbags which may explain some of the dispersion.

Safe to say, I can probably use either of these propellants effectively. Will hopefully fire a 300m match with each and get a better test of performance.

In my experience with this rifle, sorted brass will tighten my groups about 10%. Just used some mixed LC as that's what I had handy.

that is not a very hot load of BLC-2 and it is max for Varget.

Ive used BLC-2 for years with the 75 BTHP from 2700 to 2850 fps. The new Hornady manual lists SAMMI and NATO loads from 20 inch AR15.

CFE223 will get you 2900 if you are shooting at longer range.
