I finally was able to collect a #1A in 257 Roberts, been trying to get one for about three years. I should have the rifle in hand by this time next week, need to get to loading. I appreciate the help.
 
Doc ran one for me awhile back on that combo. I'm sure it'll pop up if you do a search. I was able to get just about 2950 with RL22 out of a 22" barrel. That was an over book load though as I can load the cartridges super long in my mauser.

You don't gain significant velocity by upping the pressure at this point.
 
Wow, thanks Dr. Mike. With those velocities I’d certainly be up there with the AI. Hope to see the rifle next week, dies should be here Monday and I found some brass at my local gun shop. Reports to follow.
 
I think I need to do a little work with Reloder 17. It looks to get top velocity without being over 100% case capacity.
 
Just dont buy your 120 Partitions from Midway.... I'd shoot spitballs before I"d pay what they are asking. CL
