Question for Nosler

If the AccuBond is this high energy retaining accurate bullet because of the plastic tip, high BC and bonded core, and the Partion gold has the preferred amont of expansion and retained weight after impact, why can you not combine the plastic tip onto the partion gold and have the ideal long/short range, accurate, controled expansion bullet out there???????

Looking for the best of both worlds.

I`m not Nosler but the plastic tip doesn`t make the BT or AccuBond long range bullets. The addition of one to a Partition won`t help it much either. The Ballistic tip and AccuBond are totaly a whole `nuther geometery.

I have read my opening question a few times and concede that it probably wasn't written the best way, I hope this is more satisfactory.

Thanks Ol' Joe, I do realise that the bonding of the bullet helps with the holding it together better, not the plastic tip, but the plastic tip helps in a # of ways ( feel free to jump in anytime Nosler) it increases the BC, it stops deformation of the tip under recoil in the mag, it helps with expanding on impact and probably the most important two is that it aids in accuracy and stabilizing the bullet.

Now if you you look at the Partition gold. It dosn't have the best BC, it accuracy is reasonable, but where it shines, is that it will expand to a controlled piont, many many times it cal size and hold that retained weight = energy.

Now to this black duck, (And I dont make bullets thats why I'm asking) I would like to see the plastic tip put onto the partion gold. The benifits I see, are that you will increase the BC and the Accuracy, with that near perfect controlled expansion that is has.

I don't know...... to me that would have to be a awesome long range big game bullet

Sorry that it took awhile to answer. The short answer is the added cost we would have to pass on the consumer. Adding a tip would add another component, production step and quality check to the manufacturing process. Also though the tip would add to the B.C., making the Partition longer would really make for a higher B.C. I hope that helps.
