My daughter's headlamp lenses are really cloudy and illumination is noticeably dimmer than they should be. I purchased this kit, ~$15, from Rain-X today and tried to restore them.

The kit has three abrasive sponge pads, fine, very fine and ultra-fine(emery cloth-like), lubricant spray, restoring compound and sealer spray.

It took me five minutes or so to work my way thru the three pads using the lubricant as a wet medium. Then you apply some restoring compound, think rubbing compound or Iosso, on a cloth and buff the lense, water rinse, repeat. Dry thoroughly and then apply the sealer.

Viola!! They look brand spanking new. I would rate this as a 5-Star product. It looks like I have enough product left over to do another 10-15 lenses. We'll see how it holds up.

Recommend.

An excellent report. I may have to look for this for my old pickup.

Great report CC. I've done it as well. Good way to get a little extra light on the road!

Good to know.
I have a Chevy Trail Blazer that the front head lamps are getting a little cloudy so I will give it a try.
The old girl is a MY '04 with 228K mikes on her and she is still going strong.

Mine our horrible on my 98 Dodge. Might have to try that. $15 is way better than the $240 They want for new covers.

Might give it a shot on my work truck. Those lenses are pretty nicked up.

My boy's Ford escort never shined its lights so bright!
