My family that was visiting me for most of the summer went back to Greece. I can now do some work on some on my new rifles that I have been putting off all summer. Monday (Sep 10) is the targeted day and I hope it proves to be a fruitful endeavor.

Rifles to be shot:

Tikka T3 in 270 WSM 140 AB with H4831 and RL22
Sako 75 Deluxe 7mm RUM 160 Ab and 168 VLD with retumbo loads
Sako 75 300 RUM 180 AB's and 200 AB's with Retumbo loads
Sako TRGS in 30-378 WBY. 200 AB with Retumbo and 230 Berger Hybrids with H50 BMG powders.

Wish me luck!

Good luck Fotis.
You are going to be busy at the range.

This will probably take me two or three trips to get thru.

Ah, the joy of hand loading. There is always another load to workup. Or, in the case of Fotis, several. I'm with CC: wishing you low winds and mildly overcast skies.

Hope so.

Really hoping for 3K fps and under MOA for the 230 Hybrid in the 30-378. Man what a long range hammer that would be!

For sure, that is a lot of mass creating impressive momentum. It'll be interesting to see your results.

Tell ya Fotis - I've been impressed as all get out with Berger's 210 gr .30 cal VLD at a mere 2800 fps from my WSM.

Your bigger/faster rifle ought to really do fine with those 230's...

Guy,
I have had such a hard time getting the VLD's to shoot from various rifles. It has to do with the secant ogive and the endless seating depths one has to try them at.

From what I have heard the hybrids do not have this problem at all. I hope so. I only had one Remington rifle shoot sub MOA with the vld's. All others were between 1.5+ MOA.

Fotis, hope that you have successful results at the range. I know that you have some great loads there.
Looking forward to photos & report in the near future :)

Blessings,
Dan

You have a lot of shooting in front of you. Hopefully you will hit the sweet spot with a couple of those.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Hopefully 2 or 3 will be closer to being done.

I know cocky right? but they are Sakos!

I skipped it Bill. Way too hot and windy. Tomorrow is cooler and less wind (1/2 of today).

Truck is packed and I am ready to go.

I can understand that. Good luck with the shoot as I am certain they will come in with flying colors.
