RCBS Dies

Need some help to identify what I just bought. Purchased a used set of RCBS 30-06 Dies. Green Box is as marked: Neck Sizer 30-06 P/N 14830 Group A
It contains 3-Dies. Markings on on each is as follows:

RCBS 30-06 Seat 2
RCBS 30-06 FL... 2 ( Full Length Die Has no de-capping Pin)
RCBS 30-06 Neck.. *4

The set is in really good condition, paid 28.00 for the 3-Die set.
Question is, what do the stamped numbers on the Dies represent?
Shouldn't the FL Die have a pin? or does it usually come this way with a 3-set, no pin.
I sure I can add a pin if needed.

Thanks,
Don

Don the FL die should have a decapping pin.It probably got bent or broken by the previous owner and was never replaced.
Your local shop probably has a box of them somewhere behind a counter.

Haven't a clue about the numbers though.....

Not sure exactly what you have there. Sounds like a Full Length sizing die, Neck Sizing die and a Seating die.
I would contact RCBS directly and explain in detail exactly what you have. They will usually provide you with any missing parts at no charge.

14830 is the part number for the RCBS neck sizer die for the 30/06 Springfield. Current price is around $36.

JD338,
That is exactly what I have.

Dr. Mike,
You are correct also.

I'm going to follow through as JD suggested and contact RCBS when they resume business hours.
Really curious what the stamped designated numbers are. Maybe nothing.

It appears where ever this came from they threw in the additional Dies I assume.
I must assume the FL Die just has the decapping pin missing.
Remember this is used. I find it hard to believe RCBS would just give me the missing part since it is used and not new.Time will tell.

I also have an RCBS 2010 Catalog that states they no longer are selling all the small replacement parts for Dies. You have to order the entire assembly if parts are needed.

Thanks for your input,
Don

Don,

On one occasion I broke a decapping pin. It was an older style, and none were readily available where I lived. I phoned RCBS and asked if they could sell me one of the older style decapping pins. A couple of weeks later (this being Canada and a very real border between us) I received an envelope with five of the newer style decapping pins and five of the older style decapping pins. RCBS is a quality company with excellent customer relations. Yeah, I'd think that they would be inclined to provide you a decapping pin.

Thank-You so much for your input, both you and JD338. I really appreciate you guys taking the time as well as others on this site to share your experiences.

It's been so beneficial. I thought I got a got a good buy yesterday and wasn't scared away by the pin missing, knowing I could purchase the part if needed.

Thanks again,
Don
