Just received an E-mail from Pac-Nor my 221 rebarring project has just left their facility to go to their gun smith for blueing and bedding work. Should have it in may. I will post when I get some loads worked up for it.

Awesome!

What's the wait time at Pac-Nor? I'm wanting them to install a barrel on my Rem 700 action.

It depends on the time of year, I sent my rifle in mid January so it was about 12 weeks. May be a week or two less, I do not remember the exact time, but noted from their 9-10 week estimate, added about 3-more weeks for the stock/bluing work and mid May was a fair ETA.

My rifle was a used 700 lamite that seemed to have a large chamber. Never know what chamber work could have been done or if it was shot out. The lands seemed to be at an extreme distance like +.060" from my 52gr Berger HPV set at the SAAMI OCL.

I can neck size my 223rem 2-3 times before I need to use the body bump die. I could not neck size the 221rem in this rifle even with low to mid listed charges. Hope to use this alot more with 17grs per load its cheap and has a low report. The berger 40gr HPV & the Hornady 45gr SP are the bullets that I used and hope to still use. I went with a 1:14 twist 3 groove if this is as accurate as my 223rem & 22-Hornet I will be very happy.

They mentioned 10-12 weeks to me also.
Mines a Mauser (VZ24) getting a 6.5-06 AI barrel. Should be fun.
