Rem. 260 AI

James jones over at Longrangehunting.com shoots lots of 260 rem. You might want to check out 6mmbr.com too. It seems the AI gives a very slight advantage in velocity (around 100 FPS) but it also gives you the need to fireform brass and has feeding problems in many double stack magazines. It will be slightly harder on the barrel as well. But, If you want to get the most out of the case, then the AI is the way to go. I don't think I'd go through the trouble for the slight advantage you get with the AI in this case - IMHO.

+1 with POP,
I looked " briefly " at the AI.... " briefly " due to the what I'd consider low gain over the .260
I can tell you I was launching 107gn SMK's @ 3175 with 40.8gr of Varget
and 3186 with 42.0 grians.
I'm going to try one of POP's sugestions with 100gr B-tips & H414 this weekend.
