Will a model 700 barrel fit on a model 7. I am hearing yes they will and some say no they won't they have to different recievers. Remington even is giving me different info.
It is my understanding that the Model 7 barrels are threaded the same as the Model 700. Even so, most likely the barrel/throat will need to be set back to get the correct headspace.
I have to agree with Yote - From my understanding, the front half of the Model 7 is all but the same as the 700's - It's the back half that took the reduction.
