rifle stock

i have a rem 700 in a mt rifle version will a regular 700 stock work with this gun or do i have to get a mt. rifle stock?

It will work but it will look funky with the pencil thin barrel :lol:

You will have to get a 700 stock with the magazine well cut out for the detatchable magazine or for hinged floorplate, depending on your mountain rifle and whether it's short or long action. My friend put a HS stock under his mountain rifle and though the thin barrel looks a bit odd, the deer and elk he shot with it didn't seem to notice.
