Load data on RL-25 for the .300RUM with 180gr A.B.'s ?
I used 87grns yesterday, and it shot very well......but.....the
more research I do on it, the 87grns appears to be on the
"very light" side??
Thanks again

I used 92 gr for the 200 AccuBond soooooooooo........

you can sub that load with a 180 gr and work up.

Pop...
You ROCK ! Thanks for the info......Appears I can go ahead and lay the powder to it !
I actually had a response from Alliant as well.
Thanks again

Were they close to quickloads predicted max?

I chronographed a friend's 300 RUM for him and he is getting great speeds and groups using RL 25 and the 180 AccuBond.

He was loading 95 grains of RL 25 behind the 180 AccuBond and using CCI 250 primers in Remington cases. I shot groups under an inch and the chronograph said they were going 3360 fps.

His rifle is a Remington 700 SPS with a 26 inch barrel. Factory Remington 180 bonded core-lockt loads read 3249 fps.

POP,
I'll have to look tomorrow......left info at work, but I'll let you know.

Thanks for the info.....Mines a 700 Sendero and using Federal 215's
The RL-25 shot awesome yesterday.....hope raising the grains doesn't sacrifice accuracy, but we'll see.
Mule Deer hunt planned for two weekends from now......draw area, and only 6 tags given that season. Hoping to find a monster.

quickload is predicting about 3320 fps and a pressure of 68500 psi with 95 grains of RL25. I'd be careful with that load.

Yup...that is why I only input 93.5 gr as max (under 65K psi).

Of course every gun is different and yada, yada, yada........

POP,
What I received was basically a copy of most the reloading manuals.
Barnes obviously shows the lowest charge with a max of 89grns Flat Base.
Hornaday on the large end of the scale with a max of 95.3grns. Swift showing 93.5grns for max.......I know I've seen 97grns somewhere as a "max".......As well as it's shooting right now, I doubt I'll vary a whole lot.
This was my first time with the RL-25, I may see how well the 200grn A.B.s like that powder......so far, I haven't been able to find a powder for the 200's.
What is this " quickload " Software you have?
Thanks

POP
Thanks once again. My Dad has bull tag for this weekend. I'm hoping I can get him to use the .300. If not, I have a deer tag for our second season.
