Ruger Red Label

Always like the looks of them but never owned one. Fellow range member has one that has a safety issue that it returns to safe after firing the first barrel sometimes. Gunsmith told him only the spring part was available and not making any others. Also, that Ruger had quit servicing them. Does anyone know it this is true and what experience you have had with this shotgun? Thanks, Dan.

I called Ruger to see what they had to say and was told that did not have any parts nor offered service on the Red Label. They did say that some parts might be available from Jack First 1-605-343-9544 or Numrich Arms 1=845-679-4867

Is the problem with the automatic safety? If it is, I’d just find someone to disable it and have a manual safety, which is what most firearms have anyway.

I’ve bought some parts for my Number 1s from Numrich. It is true that Ruger is not servicing their shotguns. They were nice guns.
