What? I thought Posi-Lock was a Burris feature?

Kinda strange seeing a 7-Eleven bag printed in Spanish!

How do you like your Broughton barrel? It seems to shoot really well, how easily does it clean up? How badly does it foul? (I'm guessing it stays pretty clean.) What's your total weight?

Sri for the posilock what I tried to mean OPTILOCK!!!!!
Used on the past PACNOR with great success but BROUGHTON and Tim North are SUPERB!!!!!!
The barrels are nicely finished and polished interior and exterior, the rifle has all the bell and whistles
but BROUGHTON IS BROUGHTON!!!! by the way not too much cooper on the barrel.
at 300 meters shot a metallic plate about 1.5" 3 shots, will post some paper at 300 400 500 mtrs.

That is a fine looking setup you have there! Looks like it shoots as good as it looks. Keep us posted on your progress.

cz,

Nice! What is the difference between the AI and parent case, 40* shoulder?

JD338 its the shoulder, the same breed as the EDGE, for sure its nice to play with this monster, no muzzle
break for sure have to have well connected your head with your body hihihi.
its T10, 180 AccuBond @ 3600FPS.
Will try on the 200 to 300 weight range.

So basically a 300 rum case right?

You should get right at 2850-2900 fps with the 300 grainer.

The 338 RUM has a 30* shoulder. Going to a 40* shoulder would give you a little more case capacity. I know of two others that have a 338 RUM AI and it basically is the same as the 338 Edge in performance which is about 100 fps over the 338 RUM.

JD338 been working with AI for some time and for sure it gives
100 to 150 fps more, except the .280ai, seems its an exceptional
conversion, with a good 28" barrel that .280oai rocks, 7mm mag over
velocities and exceptionaly accurate round as the inherent .308.

cz,

I also have a 280 AI. You are right, it is an impressive round. I have exceeded 3000 fps with the 160 gr AB and 3240 fps with the 140 gr AB. This is 7mm Rem Mag performance from a 24" barrel.

My 338 RUM is a factory M700 LSS with a 26" barrel. My 250 gr PT load with 98.6 grs Retumbo averages 3024 fps and the 250 gr AB averages 2980 fps.

I really like your 338 RUM AI, very impressive!

That is one impressive cartridge and rifle. I bet it's a kick ( ) to shoot :!: What fun though having something just a little special, heck a whole lot of special. Let us know how it does at the long distances.
