greeting all , has enyone measured their above rifles ? iv''e recently purchased a 75 ss syn, stw, and i can''t touch my lands of the throat iv''e seated 160 grainers to just clear the mag clip . very surprised at this ,a friend owns a 270 wsm in a tika and say''s the throat is longer than normal... regards jjmp

I don't worry about it. It used to bother me until I just loaded to what my magazine would allow and always had great accuracy. I have both rifles and they shoot great at SAAMI lengths. My understanding is that Sako and Weatherby have the same set up in their rifles . . . is it called freebore? I don't remember but of the 4 Sako rifles that I have had, the accuracy has been outstanding in all but one. 280, 7mm, 7mm Weatherby all shot better than MOA on a consistent basis.
