I will admit right up front I know very little about Sako rifle's in general, other than their reputation.

So a Sako Finnbear in 30-06 made in the 60's. Good rifle to get your hands on? If so, what's a fair price for that rifle in good condition?

Actions are smooth as butter. 1960 I believes is a pre Garcia. I've seen them go for $1600 at auctions 5 or 6 yrs ago. Probably around $2000 now a days. I'll look on gunbroker for 1.

Thanks, any info you got to farther educate me on it would be appreciated.

There is a deluxe model. Just a quick look they can be had anywhere from $800 to $1800. Look on guns international.

Okay. So in a Finnbear there is just standard and deluxe? Other than that all the same? I didn't lay eyes on the rifle yet, was just informed it was a Finnbear 30-06, in the 60's.

All sakos I had in hand so far were great and shot very good. They were junger, but the old ones are supposed to be at least equal.
Not cheap, but they last one or two lifetimes. At least.
