I finally got back from a 12 day road trip that gave me a chance to spend a day with the guys in Virginia. My 264 and 300 WSMs came with me so they could get a chance to shoot them. The 264 still has a long ways to go with 130 grain bullets, but it was fun to shoot. Here are a few pictures from the day...sorry the videos didn't turn out.

Great time was had by all...they are both still working on me to iron out my inept pistol shooting abilities  .

Joel,

Man you fellas had a blast! Wish I was a little closer.

Nicely done, Joel! I like Scotty's spotter and I'm sure he's enjoying it as well!
Are you guys shooting on private property or is it a gun range? I like the set up you've got as it looks like you can get in some longer range work there.

Brian can give you the details of the range. We met the guy that owns it on Saturday, but Brian and a few of his friends that shoot there have done most of the work to make it as nice as it is.

Great pictures of a great day. Thanks for sharing. It's the next best thing to being there.

Looks like a good time! Nothing better than a day out with somebody else's toys.

It was a great day at the range with Joel, Brian, Brian's mate and myself. We shot alot of rounds downrange. Got the 7WSM broke in pretty well I think. Anyhow, if your in the area, come on by. Love to shoot with any of you all. Scotty

WTH is going on in this pic? Tell me the guy in the background is just trying out the handgun for feel, not actually shooting behind Scotty?

Kurt, he wasn't firing behind me at all.

Also, the picture of the PT was a 140gr PT out of the 264WM. Scotty

Ah, I figured that someone was a bit tense with Scotty firing good groups and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Cool. That made me a little nervous.

We would stop every so often so he could go out and pound a few rounds at his targets with that 10mm he was working on. That pistol is quite a thumper! After seeing a bullet from it go through the "jug" test, the result would not be good for whatever it hit  .

The range is a 600 acres owned by one my friends. We have target stands from 25 yards out to 300 yards. All of 5 minutes from my house and a country store right beside the range.

Looks like you fellows have a great set up :) where you can go out and enjoy the day.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Blessings,
Dan
