I have always shot for the "golden triangle" (the spot where the scapula, spine, and lungs all meet) with my .270 with ballistic tips and always had whitetails fall in their tracks. I am wondering if I should shoot in the same spot with the .325 WSM with a 180 grain Ballistic Tip? Will the bullet come apart or will it hold together like my .270. I shoot the .270 at around 2850-2900 fps. The .325 is in front of 63.0 grains of H 4350 for around an estimated 2850 fps as well. What do you think?

You should be fine, as Nosler recommends the 8mm BT (the .323" offering) as suitable for game up to and including elk, so with white-tails or other similar thin-skinned game, the bullet will be strong enough at impact velocities below 3000fps to hold up well. If you're having good results with the BT in .277 at these velocities, the .323 version will actually be a little bit stronger construction, and thus a little tougher. Should work fine.

The 30 cal 180 gr and up are very robust bullets.
