and hit the gun club. Took the .204, the .257 Weatherby, the '06, and my Remington Classic .221 Fireball.

The .257: think I found a huntable load, 80 gr. Barnes TTSX factory load:

One fouling shot, then the next three.

The .204 is so easy to shoot, it even makes me look good:

Just getting to the Fireball, it's been an unfired safe queen until this trip home. 3-9x40 Bausch and Lomb 3200 (maybe 3000?)

I'm probably gonna work on the bedding a little bit when I get the chance (whenever that may be) and get the trigger done.

The '06 is continuing to be a problem child. It throws different bullets into wildly different POI... generally horizontal displacement. Huh. May have to bed that one as well.

Kurt,

Nice shooting.
That 221 Fireball is a cool one for sure. A little TLC will go a long ways for you.
Sounds like a couple og bedding jobs and you will be set to go.

Had a 221 FB. I like it. It was fun to shoot and economical.

Some fine targets presented. Each looks as if it is performing well for you.

Jeepers- When I "sneak out" I never shoot that well. :p I think I'm afraid she is looking over my shoulder. Just kidding shes more likely to send me to the range....gets tired of me mopin' around the house. Good lookin' targets! CL

What kind of 30-06 do you have Kurt? Those are good groups, nothing to be ashamed of there.

Dale, it's a 700 ADL SS I put in a McMillan Remington Sporter stock. Minox 3-9x scope on a rail.

Looks like a great day on the range Kurt! I am sure that 30-06 will come around once you get that barrel broken in some more. Sometimes it can take awhile if they are a little rough from the factory. Scotty

Very nice Rifle Kurt! You're as 30 cal crazy as I am. I am up to 4 of them right now but you have me beat. Already thinking about a few others...a 30-30, a 30-40, another 30-06, a 300 H+H, and maybe a 300 Win Mag. Though I am loving my 300 WSM!

I believe Kurt's Rifle Emporium has about everyone beat! The thirty calibre is about as American as one can get. It is a great calibre. Chambered in a good rifle, it'll get the job done.

Maybe, Doc, but Mikes House of Fine European Glass leaves me drooling.

Absolutely necessary to avoid being compelled to hunt by braille on an ongoing basis.

Holy crap! I just sat down and figured, and between my dad and myself, we have at least 10 .30 calibers (or calibres, Mike). (I'm a little embarrassed that I'm not exactly sure.)

Wouldn't that be multilingual? American Canuckian, and redneck? :)

Good point, Kurt! Truthfully, Redneck is my native tongue. Whenever my hunting partner (Red Card carrying native) makes a linguistic gaff, he always reminds me, "English isn't my native tongue." It is kinda like that for me.
