Since I have a bunch of both I thought I would give them a go in my 338 Winchester. Here is what I found today. This was chrono work no groups measured.

Superformance. 225 Sierra Federal case & WLRM primers.
70gr.-2673
71gr.-2710
72gr.-2770
73gr.-2808
74gr.-2858
75gr.-2906
76gr.-2913

Hunter. 225 Sierra same case and primer as above
72gr.-2823
73gr.-2845
74gr.-2869
75gr.-2945
76gr.-2958

The Rifle is a Tikka T-3 Lite SS

All ejected easily and showed no signs of pressure.

Also shot.

IMR 4350 71.5 gr. 225 Hornady IB same cases and primers. 2887 fps and 3 shot group 1 7/8" at 220 yards.

H4350 69.5gr. 225 IB same case & primer. 2861 fps and 2" group at 220 yards.

Interesting... Let us know how they group. I have never tried Superformance. I am at the stage of simplifying vice exploring new powders. In fact all I load now in my 338WM is I4350, 180s to 250s. 100fps won't change my ways. Cutting groups in half might do it though... the extra velocity would just be a bonus.

That's pretty interesting. Always wanted to try Hunter, but haven't done so well at finding the stuff.

Those are excellent speeds from a 338 though.

Hunter is one of my favorite powders, it is exceptional in my 6.5 Creedmoor and is showing decent accuracy in my 300 Win Mag.

Shot some groups at 220 yards today.

77.5 gr. R-26 2900 fps 4 shots 2 3/8" 225 Hornady IB

76 gr. Superformance 4 shots 2 7/8" 225 Sierra

75 gr. Hunter 4 shots 2 1/4" 225 Sierra

70 gr. H4350 4 shots 2 1/2" Hornady IB

All bullets seated to fit in the T-3 magazine.

Interesting, your stuff with 26 looks to be running similar to mine.

Any idea on the speeds for the others.

Accuracy seems very good across the board..

76 Super was 2913
75 Hunter was 2945
69.5 H4350 was 2861 so 70 should be close to 2900

I did not chrono any today was just seeing if any accuracy was there.

Gotcha. Those all sound like great loads. Hunter really looks pretty decent for speed.

Might have to give the 4451 a try in the 338. Supposed to be just about like H4350 in use.

I am finding R-26 to work very well in a # of cartridges. It works nice in a 300 SAUM with 190 gr. Nosler LRABs and 180 E-tips in a 300 RUM.
