Well I finally picked up the 30-36. Nice rifle.
My dilemma is that I want to attach swivels to it. I would really like to use this kit but it clearly says it is made for the older guns

Now if you look at the reviews some claim that they work well for the newer 7600. Can anyone help or guide me to a set like this that I will have no problem installing?

Not sure if any of this helps, but here's a discussion I found:

Looks like there may be issues with the mounting due to the floating nature of the forearm bolt. But, then again, Remington also sells (or used to sell) a factory part for the LE version of the same basic rifle...so maybe it's a non-issue?

Fotis,
use a barrel band, what happens is over time the action bars start to pull away from the barrel, which moves them down and away from the small clip that locks the bolt shut. you end up with a non locking action, happened to my 760 alot of years ago.

They have them at Uncle Mikes. The newer 7600's have a little thicker barrel.I bought my son one in 2001 for his 12th birthday. After getting the wrong swivel for the barrel I find the right one at Uncle Mike's.
