Is there a formula that allows me to compute trajectory? As my manuals only offer this info in 100 yard increments I am curious as to what would happen if I moved my point of impact by 25 yards. I don't seem to have enough time to sit down and shoot it out so I must compute it out.

The actual mathmatical formula to calculate bullet trajectory is mind numbing. I have seen it and do not recommend that you try it. The web based programs are fantastic.

LeverGun - I'm impressed that you want to know your trajectory in 25 yard increments. Out at longer ranges, when the bullet slows, 25 or 50 yards can make quite a difference in point of impact. This can make a real difference when doing something like long-range varmint shooting...

I've seen some pretty impressive computer generated drop tables - but when you get a chance, make sure you check your loads yourself - at least at 100 yard intervals just to double check the computer.

The more you get into it - the more you'll find that there are a lot of variables affecting the trajectory like altitude & temperature...
