Sorry if this has been covered here to many times, I understand that a certain barrel twist is required to stabilize a certain length of bullet. But how does the bullets velocity play into this equation?
Say I have a 1:9 223 rem. that will not stabilize a 77 gr bullet at any distance @ 2,600 FPS, will this bullet stabilize out a 22-250 rem 1:9 @ 3400 fps if so how far?
I think of this as RPM's where speed and twist rate decides if a bullet will stabilize, am I thinking about this correctly?
Thanks
