Official results are avail on the Washington Fish & Wildlife web site. Phooey:
Quality Elk - nope
Antlerless Elk - no
Quality Deer - no
Second (doe) deer - no
Any Moose - no
Bighorn Sheep - no
Mtn Goat - no
Neither me nor my son managed to draw anything! I was mildly surprised that I didn't draw the cow elk or doe tag. Not at all surprised about the other tags as they have nearly impossible odds. I'll keep putting myself and my son in for these tags - when drawn they offer an outstanding hunt opportunity!
Still, with our over-the-counter tags we will be hunting black bear in September, mule deer in October, and possibly white tail in November. I also have an over-the-counter elk tag - but truly despise the regular elk season here. Too many goofy hunters going after the same poor elk herd a few miles south of town. It's a circus out there!
However, I might just slide out to an area where I occasionally find a smaller elk herd on the periphery and give that a try.
Better luck next year I guess. Guy
