a guy said he would pay me if loaded him shells for his rifle what should I charge ,by the hour, by the amout that I loaded .one thing he payed for the supplies

Go carefully. Remember, you are liable if something should go wrong. I would assuredly make certain that I knew this man quite well and at the least have him sign a release (though even that offers limited protection).

+1,
Yesterday I was at the range with one of my friends and he was shooting loads that another friend of his reloaded for him. He shot a round through it and when he tried to open the bolt it was stuck so after about an hour he finally got the shell out and the primer had the worst bulge in it that I have ever seen on a primer before. Extreme pressure from the shell also. Just always comes to show you that you will need their rifle to work a load up for that specific rifle, and not what the reloaders rifle shoots out of it.

You don`t only need to worry about a release from him if something goes south but one from his family and friends too. Don`t think for a minute his wife won`t look for something to compensate if he looses an eye or ability to keep her & the kids as he has in the past.
I won`t load for anyone. If he wants, offer to allow him to use your tools and guide him, but let him do his own loading.
JMHO

Ol' Joe's advice is good.

Another thing I would consider is this: technically, an ammo manufacturer is required to pay taxes on ammunition sold, so if it's not for your own personal use there is a tax liability. I would NOT put it past the Obama adminstration's "Justice" Department or BATFE to go out and employ entrapment methods.

Very sound advise here. I never got paid for loading for my friends.

DO NOT LOAD FOR HIM OR ANYONE ELSE PERIOD!!!!!!

Even family, what if you in a lapse of focus do it wrong and your close one looses their life or is injured for life???? COULD YOU LIVE WITH IT?????

HAVE I LOADED FOR FAMILY? YES!!!! DO I DO IT ANYMORE? NO!!!!!!!!! I buy my grand kids factory loaded ammo and tell the other members of my family to either load for themselves or go buy factory ammo.
