Glad I'm not the only one who thinks like that :)

CZ 452 22lr, going to get one of my Burris 2-7x35 scopes with the ballistic plex after I send it to Burris to fix and adjust the parallax for a rimfire.
- target shooting, having fun, grouse hunting.

Savage heavy barreled 260 Rem Burris 3-9x40 but when it gets fixed the Leupold 8x40 AO will go back on.
- deer, coyotes, wolves, target shooting and hopefully one day antelope.

Rem 700 264 WM, unscoped, going to be sold most likely for a light 270 Win for my wife and also me to use.
- deer, sheep, goats, caribou, black bear, elk, moose, the 270 would cover the same animals.

Lee Enfield 303 British has my old Varix III 3.5-10x40 on it right now.
- youth gun for black bear hunting.

Rem 700 35 Whelen, Leupold 6x36, the do everthing gun.
- deer, goats, sheep, black bear, caribou, elk, moose, grizzly and bison.

Ruger 77 SS/laminate 375 Ruger, Leupold 2-7x33.
- the bear stopper for fishing and hiking, close range moose, bison and grizzly

Baikal 12 gauge 2 3/4" the first gun my dad bought me.
- grouse, ducks, geese and have even shot a deer with buckshot with it.

CIL 28 gauge, new to us as of last year.
- grouse gun especially for my wife but I have used it as well.

CIL 410 destined to go to my nephew since his older brother will get my brothers identical gun, Paul will get this one when he turns 10.

I have a couple of guns to sell or rebarrel, depending on what my wife does I may end up with a 270 Win, WSM or Wby or maybe a 280 Rem or 7mm RM as an all around mountain gun, I need a 12gauge repeater to hunt waterfowl better and both of us could use a small centerfire such as a 204, 222 or 223.

22x47, 6.5x47 lapua switch barrel, bat receiver mcmillan A3 sporter , lilja 1-8 twist barrels schmidt and bender 4-16x42 pmII. my primary hunting rifle from deer to coyotes.

DTA SRS 338 lapua 300 win and 260 rem. Schmidt and bender 5-25x56pmII. Match rifle.

Ployhar precision built 284 win, lawton 7000, bartlein 5r 1-8 heavy palma, manners t-4 schmidt and bender
5-25x56 pmII. match and long range antelope and deer.

Nosler 48, .300WSM- killin' big stuff I want to eat.

Ruger .375 Alaskan- killin' big stuff that wants to eat me.

Ruger 10/22- killin' little stuff I want to eat.

Benelli 12ga.- killin' little stuff when I'm really hungry.

Ruger 77 Express, .270- for lookin' at when there's nothing to kill.

Some other stuff that mainly takes up space and holds the safe down when I'm out huntin'

G'Day Fella's,

Idaho Trophy Hunter, sorry but I don't post all that info in public places!
I think "An Adequate Supply" (well almost), sums it up best!

Doh!

There is some FUNNY stuff posted above! Keep it up guys!

Here's some:

.50 traditional percussion cap muzzle loader, Thompson Center: mule deer, muzzle loader season.

.375 H&H, Ruger Number One. 'Cause I'm nuts. No more need this thing than I need a main battle tank, but here it is. Works well on black bear and rock chucks in my experience. A prior owner swears it worked out well in Africa on plains game and cape buff. I really ought to go find out for myself someday!

.300 WSM, Model 70. Completely useless. Danged Winchester. Jewell trigger, etc... Useless I tell you.

.30-06 Sporterized Model of 1917 - nah - my son won't let me near it anymore, but he's found it does a fine job on whitetail bucks and black bear. I really used to like that rifle, when I got to hunt with it. Timney trigger. B&C stock. 6x Leupold. Noslers of course. I've been shooting it since 1966, when I was a kid. Doggone Number Two Son thinks it's his. Hah!

.308 Win Rem 700 - a tad heavy for general purpose hunting, it's the most accurate rifle I own. Multi-purpose too. NRA prone long-range matches. Tactical matches. Actual SWAT use. SWAT sniper instructor use. Training gun. Money pit. Bear hunting. Deer hunting. Varmint hunting. Ever see what a 110 gr .30 cal hollow point does to a rockchuck. No? That's because there's not much left to look at!

.30-30 Glenfield - a delight to carry afield. The old .30-30 deserves more respect than it gets.

.25-06 Rem 700 CDL & 6x Leupold - my personal favorite for deer sized game. About all I seem to use on mule deer anymore. Rough on coyotes. Works well on pronghorn too. I seldom hunt with anything else the past eight years or so.

.223 AR-15 - because every good guy ought to have one!

.204 Ruger - when I feel the Need for Speed, might as well go for 4,000 fps. Brutal on rockchucks, and such light recoil that the crosshairs never even leave the target. Cool.

.22 Marlin 39A - my all time favorite rifle. Absolutely. Plinking. Target practice. Varmint shooting. Small game. I like this one above all others!

Guy

I got too many I had to walk to the safe just to remember what they were. One of my in-laws was convicted of a felony, so I got all of his.

308 Win Remington 700, shoots awesome, I've taken it hunting for pronghorn, black bear, mule deer and hogs.

300 Win Mag Remington 700, shoots pretty well so far, I haven't shot it much yet but I'm planning on using it for target shooting and I'm going to try it out long range hog hunting.

8mm Mauser M24/47, I'm in the process of turning this into a scout rifle for the cool factor.

30-30 Win Model 94, Illinois sesquicentennial edition, never shot it but I want to, it's one I got from the in-laws.

5.56 Nato AR-15, I love this thing, it was my first rifle, I've put thousands of rounds through it.

223 Rem Mini-14, so far it's serving no purpose but I have it anyways, a buddy gave it to me as a gift when I left Colorado.

12 ga Rem 870 express, 18.5 inch barrel with 7 shot capacity, I've shot a ton of birds with this shotgun.

12 ga Rem Sportsman 58, this thing isn't in the greatest shape, but it's chambered for 3 inch shells on a magnum receiver, it's my next project.

16 ga Browning Sweet Sixteen, FN manufactured in 1954, this this is awesome but it only cycles with 1 1/8 oz ammo which hasn't been easy to find in 16 ga, very good condition, has one of those poly chokes though.

.410 ga side by side, made by some catalog company before WWI. Never shot it because I'm not sure if it's safe.

22 LR Savage 1914, old, cracked stock, never shot it. I also have a Winchester semi auto 22 LR, haven't shot that one either.

Springfield XD .45 - Home defense and Concealed Carry

Ruger Mini-14 in .223 Highly accurized - Benchrest & coyote calling rifle

Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .243 - Longrange Benchrest & coyote calling rifle

Model 1 Sales Heavy barrel Varmint AR-15 in .223 - Longrange Benchrest & coyote calling rifle

Hogs

How many wild hogs are floating around northern BC?

Hope springs eternal. Hey, I may get a chance to go down to Tennessee or Kentucky one of these days; I want to be ready. In the meanwhile, it does a reasonable job on black bear, elk, moose, etc.

.300 WSM, Model 70. Completely useless. Danged Winchester. Jewell trigger, etc... Useless I tell you.

I feel your pain, Guy. Next time I'm through, I'll just take that useless ol' rifle off your hands. I wouldn't want you to suffer any more than you already are suffering.

Manton & Co. heavy 10bore Doublerifle. DG Africa.

At my age, its a learning experience every time I open the safe. There are apparently rifles in there with no purpose at all or I would remember them !! These I do remember !

My most used in order of "use";
300 Win Mag Pictured here numerous times, my primary hunting rifle, for all big game.
My Whelen, it was my primary rifle as an 06, from 1960 until 1970 when I saw the light, (the 300 WM).
Thompson Center 50 Cal MZ, traditional. (So far I have killed more big game with it than the next three listed combined).
My STW, my favorite money pit.
My GBL Marlin, so far a fun shooter and fun to carry.
My Combat Tactical, so far another fun shooter.
