X-mas, B-day, AF Retirement Rifle - present and future

Like the subject states, an 08 X-mas, early AF retirement, 09 B-day, and 09 X-mas present all in one.

I found a new Rem 700 LSS 375RUM on GunBroker and just couldn't pass on it. So, I went WAY out on a limb and as of 23 Dec, it's at my FFL Dealer waiting on the CA 10-day wait.

I now have the entire RUM family.

Pics of the family will be posted when I get my new "Super Canon" home.

Being that this probably predates the R3 recoil pad, I'll be looking for a new recoil pad, either a Limbsaver, Pachmeyer or the new Rem SuperCell pad.

Congratulations on your 375 RUM. I think you are correct, it will have the solid rubber recoil pad that is useless. A good recoil pad will make a big difference.
I put the Decelerator pad on my 338 RUM and have no problems with recoil. That is until I get over 20 rounds off the bench with 250 gr PT's at 3024 fps! :shock:
