It gets better - I had my dad, brother, and brother's son with me. They were only a mile or two away. It was my nephew's first elk hunting trip, so I let him drop the guts. We all helped with the skinning but since my brother wanted to try his hand at boning out I let him do that.

Everybody knows you can't hunt elk with anything short of a 338 Win Mag ! Just read the popular post if you don't believe me.
Now, go right back there and shoot that elk with a proper elk rifle, and then come back and tell us how great it worked.
