300 win mag 200g

Yeah, I should imagine that load will work just fine for both moose and elk. (y)

For me, H4831sc was a bit tighter, but RL22 was a bit faster with 200 grain PT. Thats in a Ruger M77 Mark II.

By the way, I played with the 220 grain Partitions, and got above 2700 fps with plain old IMR 4350. And I got great accuracy for a factory rifle (0.5 - 0.7 moa).

300 winnie is just work horse.

I used Retumbo in the 300 RUM/200AB in my SIL's rifle. It killed a big cow elk drt a tad past 440yds last year. I never tried any 200 in the 300 Winmag, I always used H4831 and R22 with the 180 XBT and 180BT. But the 200 is a fine bullet for elk. In fact, from playing with the 300's for years ( I don't have one now) I load the 200PT in every 30-06 I've had since, for elk/big hogs. It is a thumper! If you use your 300WM for long range ( looks like you can in that nice rig!) that 200 will overtake the 180 anyhow...lots more "oomph"! Have a ball dude!
