I spent a little time at the range today. My intent was to sight the 280 back in due to changing to the Talley scope mounts. That went well. one shot and on paper and it was right back to "boringly" shooting those 154 gr SST's into 3/4 of an inch.
My other intent was to decide which load I was going to use this season in my 308. Ive been trying different charge weights, bullets, and seating depth over the past few weeks. As expected there have been several loads that have repeated more than once.
Below are the two that Im deciding over. I like the 150 gr BT load really well but I also like that 165gr Nosler Solid Base load. There's just something about those 165 gr bullets that I really like. I know the 150 gr load is a little better accuracy wise but to be honest those two shots that are just a tad off on 165 gr load are purely my fault. The 150 gr NBT runs about 2745 but I have not been able to chrono that 165 gr load yet but Im thinking that 46 grs of Varget will make those 165 gr NSB's sing a little
