My usual load for 348Win is Hornady 200gr FP with H4831sc,getting me 2400fps and 1.5" iron sight groups at 100yds when the stars/wind/ and light align. Tried H4985 powder,55gr, got 2500 fps but "groups" of 4-5 inches. Anyone have luck with H4895 powder. By the way I have never gotten even close to 2400fps with factory ammo.

I don't load for the 348 Win . I do use H4895 powder , although it's mostly for reduced loads .
there are different things that can cause a big group . this could be needing a seating depth adjustment , or a powder charge adjustment . this seems to be a very big group though , to try to dial in . it could also be this rifle does not like this ammo combination . the info I have , shows your load to be a max powder charge load . did you try working up to this charge weight ? was any lower charge weights showing a better group to start working with ?

That was the Hornady FlexTip ammo, you chrono'd I assume.Those FlexTip bullets are not available to me.

Is adjusting bullet seating depths with 348 Winchester/Win 71 rifles really an option ?
