That was the thing. We carried Nosler along with the other major bullet players and in the first half of the 90's there was a real problem with BT's The tone from hunter gibberish just went like a brush fire. These bullets were "explosive" and that was that. That was the theme. We got sales...

Back in the day 90's way deep within the industry Nosler said a lot. I think their cut off was 6mm 90 gr or 25 100 gr... They swore up and down those bullets had thicker jackets. That said it's still a volatile bullet upon impact and can leave a massive exit. Then again many high powered...

The joke is still on us... I'd consider running Hornady 90gr GMX .418 B.C. Or... Hornady ELD-X 103gr .512 B.C. Two reasons... #1 they perform every bit as good as the Nosler you mentioned... #2 You can actually get them pretty much whenever and at a better price

I can comfortably hit 3050 with 180's in my WSM's 24" bbl's One particular 300 WSM rifle and a 180 gr bullet nearing the pressure wall I can see 3208 fps To each their own but I'd never run a 28" bbl on anything but possibly a 30 kong. Even then it would be a 26" and 2" muzzle brake.
