My load is 58 grains H4350 with the 168 ballistic tip and 165 accubond. Gets 2,934 fps at 7740' above sea level, shoots well under .75" @ 100yds in the M48 Custom. . As always work up from at least 5% below.

58 Grains of H4350 with 168 Grain Ballistic Tips at 2934 fps average velocity was the load used in the Nosler M48 Custom 30-06 I sold to my hunting partner last year. He shot a 4 round group into about .41 inches. Craig harvested a big cow on a Ranching For Wildlife hunt here in Colorado last...
I agree with hunter24605. I built three 6.5 Grendel's last year with Lilja barrels from a group buy on the 6.5 Grendel Forum. 12'5" pistol, 14.5" that I can use on my SBR lower and a 16" rifle. All shoot great from the bench and are fun to shoot. Haven't taken any game with them yet.

I had better accuracy with Federal 215 mag primers than regular 210 primers using Nosler 30-06 brass, 180 gr Accubonds and 58.5 of Ramshot Hunter in my Nosler Model 48 Custom. Three round groups around .5" to.75". I started with the 210 and the accuracy was ok, but not great. As always, work...
John Barsness wrote about his wife, Eileen, using Nosler 150 Grain E-Tips in Africa. She took an 800 pound Zebra that is pictured in one of their books. They used Varget in her handholds.
I plan to use the same bullet and powder in my NULA for my next elk hunt.

I just bought a Rossignol Back country setup, Rossignol BC90 Positrack skis, BC Magnum bindings, BC X 6 boots and adjustable BC poles. Haven't skied them yet, the skis are 90mm at the tip, 68mm under foot so they should be good for a little float on softer snow. They also have steel edges for...
Wipe-Out Tactical Advantage is the easiest to use that I've found. One doesn't have to use a bore brush and works very well for me. No strong odor and isn't messy like the foam bore cleaners. I buy mine from Brownells.

Here you go, sorry it took so long. I visited the forum today and it took me a while to learn how to post attachments.
Ruger may have changed the receiver profile since the wood is a little proud of my old receiver. The new wood is nice but it does not have figure similar to the material...
I recently sent my 1976, 200th Anniversary 30-06 #1A to Ruger for replacement of a damaged fore end. They replace the stock and fore end for free as a gesture of good will. They didn't have any wood as nicely figured as the original, but is has good color and a nice straight grain structure...
