    35 remington whitetail country

The Whitetail line has been huge for Nosler. They are adding additional cartridges and bullet weights to this product line. I would think they will be updating their website sometime soon. JD338

Adding a Pachmyer Decelerator Magnum recoil pad can make a big difference in felt recoil. I helped a neighbor buddy set up his M700 BDL 30-06 for shooting...

What is "reasonable" accuracy for a hunting rifle?

I would consider testing a lighter weight bullet after confirming that the mounts and rings are torqued down to proper specs. JD338

    What would you do?

I use magic markers to color code the primer pockets for different bullet weights. This could also be used to identify different powder types or weights, primers or seating depths. I use a sharpie to write charge weights and COAL info on the case. JD338

    entry/mid level binoculars

I am with the others. Invest in good optics and they won’t let you down, especially in low light. I have Meopta 10x42mm binoculars and they have excellent glass. JD338

Loading Nosler 100 grain BTSP in .257 Roberts

Gil There are not many 700 Classics for sale so they get top dollar. They are going for $1200-$1500 depending on condition and chambering. The 257 Roberts is highly sought after. JD338

Loading Nosler 100 grain BTSP in .257 Roberts

I use the same load in my 700 Classic. This is a long/magnum action and a 24” barrel. I seat the bullet out to a COAL 2.900” and get 3100 fps and .3” groups. JD338
